You must be at least 18 years old to register as a retiree under the age of 67.

How to register as a retiree under 67 in the app
Before you begin, make sure you have the following ready:

Your MitID (the one you use to log in to government websites, for example)
Your CPR number (personal identification number)

Step by step:

Download the Rejsekort app to your smartphone (phone).
Open the app and create a profile. You can follow the setup guide if you need help.
Make sure you’ve entered your full name exactly as it appears on your health insurance card
Then tap the three small lines in the top-left corner of the app.
Select Settings from the menu.
Tap Change Customer Type.
Tap Pensioner—this customer type also applies to you if you are on early retirement.

Once you see “Pensioner” displayed in the app, this applies to all types of pensioners—including those on early retirement. In the app, everyone eligible for the senior discount is listed as “Senior.”

This also applies to you if:

You have been granted a disability pension (disability, senior, or early retirement pension, including partial pension)
You are over 67 years old

You will be asked to use your MitID so we can verify your identity.

You must enter your CPR number. We do not store it—we only use it to check whether you are eligible for the “Pensioner” customer type.

You’ll receive an immediate response right in the app. If we don’t need any additional information, your customer type will be changed to “Pensioner” and will appear next to your name at the top of the app’s home screen right away.

This means you can now travel at a lower price.

If we need more information, you’ll be redirected to an application form with just a few questions. The required documentation will be listed on the form.

You can expect a response to the application form within 10 business days.

Please note that the physical Pensioner Card, as you know it, will remain in use just as it has been until now.
